• Andrew Lau, director of the first movie, has plans to produce the sequel but based on a different arc of the manwah. His sequel is called "Goodbye Nameless". Cheng and Kwok are to reprise their roles as Wind and Cloud, and Andy Lau was to play the role Nameless. However, due to buget issues and the script is still being revised by the director for the last 10 years, when this movie will be made is unknown.
• Due to copyright issues, the producers were unable to reuse the name "The Storm Riders", thus the movie name were later changed to "The Storm Warriors" despite the Chinese title was allowed to remain.
• Aaron Kwok wore specially made boots on the set to make himself 3 inch taller to match the height of Ekin Cheng. The reason for this is because according to the man wah, Clould is meant to be alot taller and bigger built than Wind.
• During the release of the animated Storm Riders movie, Ma Wing Shing stated that Ekin Cheng is more suited to play Cloud since Aaron is too small built to play the role. ^{Ref 4}
• 11 years ago, Ekin Cheng earned the rights to sing the theme of The Storm Riders. 11 years later, to ensure history won't be repeated, Aaron Kwork insisted the movie execs to add a clause in his contract that he will have the rights to sing and publish the themes of the movie. ^{Ref 5}
• The Storm Warriors theme was originally sang by Aaron Kwork only, but the execs of the production insisted that it would be better if the theme was a duet, thus Ekin Cheng also joined in. However, Aaron Kwork's music company will still have the rights to the official OST. ^{Ref 6}
• The entire film runs for 100 minutes which includes 70 minutes of action. ^{Ref 7}
• There are only 200 lines in the script. ^{Ref 7}
• $200,000 USD was spent on a set of 10 specially made in Australia disposable contact lens that Ekin Cheng used for his Evil look. Each pair cost $20,000 USD and can only be used for a few hours. ^{Ref 8}
• The trade mark matrix style slow motion scenes came from Ekin Cheng. According to the Pang brothers, Cheng mentioned Whispering Wind only looks good when he's not moving giving them the idea to have those slow motion scenes. ^{Ref 12}
• Since the opening on the 10th December, The Storm Warriors have broken the record of the most sessions and cinemas shown in Hong Kong history for an Asian Film. A total of 109 cinemas with 521 sessions screened the movie on its opening day. ^{Ref 10}

9. Injury List

• During an explosion scene, Ekin Cheng needs to keep his eyes wide open but resulted in the toxic explosive residues lodged in his eyes. It took several washes to clear out the chemicals. ^{Ref 11}
• Many years of wire hanging days have caused Cheng to have a bad back. The pain is extremely bad on rainy days and during the filming of the last battle, Cheng almost call it the quits.
• Aaron Kwok received some injuries from explosives which lodged a small nail in his arm but was removed later at a hospital.
• Tang Yan almost fell off the horse during the escape scene.
• Charlene Choi had sprained her ankles in another movie and required assistance to maneuver around during the filming of The Storm Warriors.
