Has this ever happened to you? The party was too good to leave after only a drink or two. Old friends and new were enjoying themselves. The festive atmosphere had relaxed inhibitions. Smooth drinks of the bartender hired by the host tasted like ambrosia. With each further cocktail the single ladies got better looking too.

They are saying all good things must come to an end. So, with a nice buzz on it finally was time to head for the door. Arriving alone at this party wouldn't mean leaving alone though. You had hooked up with exciting new chum and she was coming along for more than a trip home.

Not so tight but snug enough to remind you that without Houdini to help they were staying on.

As you watched your new auto being loaded on the tow van, the last thing on your intellect now was what might have been with the new friend. A presentation you were to make at work in the morning was now in heavy danger. All of a sudden you noticed that being locked up in jail was not just something you saw on television. Even thru the fog of intoxication your anxiety was building.

When the patrol auto pulled into the double gated area where prisoners were scheduled you realized that the man shortly to be behind bars was you. How could that be possible? You had not even received a parking ticket. Now you were facing serious charges, outrageous fine, insurance rates raised to the sky and, naturally, the barrister's fee and court costs. As a guy good with numbers you began to figure the cost of each drink you had consumed at that wonderful party.

Rather than the jail cells you had seen so many times in those Western pictures you loved, you ended up in a massive holding cell with almost a hundred other men. Most of them were a lot less educated than you and held jobs requiring a lot of muscle and sweat. They did not dress the way you probably did. Your shoes, slacks and name brand shirt certainly cost more than the wardrobe of a few of these guys.
